Start your own Business- Sell online your expertise

Hi ladies, I hope everything is fine with you! Welcome back to my blog and thanks for your time. Today, I wanna write about how you can earn money from home by selling your expertise online and have your own business.

There are many ways to earn money online like selling design, digital template, E-books or holding a paid webinar and … but I want to specifically write about how to sell your photos online! I know it’s a great time to take many pictures from beautiful places, …. that you go during summer. But consider if you want to make money thorough selling your pictures online you need to plan that how your picture can be used by a brand. You need to take these steps:

  1. Having a proper camera and lens
  2. Marketing knowledge

You know there are different categories of photography like Commercial (promote a product, service, or idea) and Editorial (featuring people and things in order to use for magazines,..) Retail(wedding photography, senior portraits, pet photography,..) so make a decision which category is a good fit for your photos. Don’t forget to license your photos (grant for the client using your photos).

Where to sell your photos online:

  1. 500px: This is a good platform for both amateur and professional photographers. All you need to do is creating an account then submit your photos and fill out the related forms.
  2. SmugMug: It is a paid image sharing, image hosting service, and online video platform on which users can upload photos and videos. You need to purchase a membership to have your own account and use their helpful tools like color correction or image protection by watermark, disabling right-click, …
  3. Shutterstock: It is a global provider of stock photography, stock footage, stock music, and editing tools; it is headquartered in New York. Here is a good place to start learning how to sell your photo and the payout range is from 20%-30%.
  4. Alarmy: It is a stock photography agency with a long history in the market, offering high-quality stock images with both Rights Managed and Royalty Free license available. The good thing about them is if your images are exclusive with them you receive 50% of direct sale otherwise you get 40%.
  5. Adobe Stock: It is a service that provides designers and businesses with access to millions of high-quality curated and royalty-free photos, videos, illustrations, vector graphics, 3D assets, and templates for all their creative projects. If you list your photo here then it will be available on Fotolia as well; also, you can earn 33% commission on selling the photos.
  6. Twenty20: It is the best way to make money with your mobile photography. Make money selling your photos to brands, agencies, and designers. You can earn 2$ per image licensed or getting cash prizes from photo challenges or earning 100% commission from whatever brands hire you for scheduled shoots
  7. Pixieset: It is the best way for modern photographers to share, deliver, proof, and sell their work to clients. It’s the easiest way to create a beautiful online store that is mobile-friendly. If you register for free it takes 15% commission but if you start with a paid plan(8$ per month) commission that it takes will be zero.

Remember a smaller watermark, often in the corner, still lets others enjoy your photo, while a larger tiled watermark with reduced opacity offers the most protection against theft.

Where to get donations for your photos:
